Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for a focused, close-knit team, driving the day to day sports turf construction projects to deliver quality outcomes in a fast pace environment. You will maintain a hands-on approach, taking ownership of all areas within your responsibility which include but not limited planning and implementing projects , adapting to changing priorities to ensure deadlines are met, motivating your team to get the project completed within tight timeframes, pricing for tenders, getting stuck in to operate machinery at site and plant maintenance. You will thrive under pressure, have the ability to think on your feet, be able to manage your own workload, be forward thinking, extremely self-driven, have the means to work flexible hours and be able to travel to Sports Turf construction sites around New Zealand.
About you
This is a great opportunity will suit candidates who have a Sports Turf or Irrigation back ground who enjoying getting stuck in and leading team to achieve excellence.
- Previous experience with sports turf construction equipment and small project management is essential
- You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and have the ability to inspire a team
- A class 2 driver license is essential as you will be required to transport equipment to site
- Ideally you will have National Certificate in Sports Turf Management – Level 4
- You will have solid organisational and planning skills to coordinate and manage workloads
- You will have the ability to make sound decisions and be able to use your initiative
- You will have excellent computer and administrative skills
